An Ancestral File at familysearch.org indicates John died on 13 Mar 1867. However, a couple of facts contradict this:
(1) wife Catherine is shown as a widow in the 1851 and 1861 Censuses
(2) Catherine remarried to John Floyd in 1864 (John Floyd died in 1867).
Hence the John Carpenter who died in 1867 was not this John.

John married Catherine SINCOCK, daughter of Richard SINCOCK and Unknown, on 29 Sep 1838 in Illogan, Cornwall. (Catherine SINCOCK was born in 1818 in Illogan, Cornwall.)
