In 1871 Albert Vivian, aged 35, born in Launceston Cornwall, gardener, and wife Mary Ann Vivian, aged 32, born in St. Dominick Cornwall, were living at 2 Salem St., Charles, Plymouth, Devon. With them were children John H. (9) of Devonport, scholar, and born in Plymouth: Charles A. (8), scholar, Arthur (4), scholar, William (2), Ernest (1 mnth).
In 1881 Albert Vivian, aged 44, born in Launceston, widower, labourer, was at 10 Higher St., Charles The Martyr, Plymouth, Devon. Present were sons (born in Plymouth Devon): Henry (18), light porter, Charles (16), hawker, Arthur (14), errand boy, Ernest (9), scholar, Geo. (7), scholar. (Daughter Emily Mary Vivian, aged 8, was with her paternal grandparents. Son Arthur named above was also listed with his grandparents).
