In 1901 Jacob J. Blewet, aged 29, born in St. Ives Cornwall, mariner (merchant service), and wife Margaret Blewet, aged 29, born in St. Ives, were living in Wescotts Quay Lane, St Ives. With them were children (born in St. Ives) Margaret (6), Jacob J. (2) and Cyrus (9 mo).

Jacob was not with his family at the time of the 1911 UK Census. Wife Margaret Blewett, aged 40, born in St. Ives, married 19 years (mother of 5 children, 2 deceased), was in St. Andrew's St., St. Ives. With her were children (born in St. Ives, single) Margaret Care Ninnis (16), assistant to dressmaking, Jacob John (12), school, and Cyrus (10), school.

Jacob John Blewett, aged 44, mine engine driver, and son Cyrus Blewett, aged 16, labourer, previously residents of St. Ives, arrived at Ellis Island, New York, USA on 11 Sep 1916 aboard S.S. Orduna, Jacob's nearest relative in England being his wife Margt. Blewett of St. Andrews St., St. Ives. 3

At the time of the 1920 U.S. Federal Census Jacob Blewett, aged 47 [sic], born in England, factory machinist, and wife Edith Blewett, aged 40, born in England, were living in East Palestine, Unity Township, Columbiana, Ohio. With them were stepdaughter Beatrice Dickinson (16) of England and stepson Frank Dickinson (14) of Virginia.
