In 1820 William Rosewarne was a beneficiary of his father's will.
In 1841 William Rosewarne, aged about 45, born in the county, farmer, and wife Prudence Rosewarne, aged about 45, born in the county, were in Penwarne, South Hill, Cornwall, England. With them were children William (20), Prudence (14), Ellen (13), Elizabeth (11) and Mary (9).
At the time of the 1850 U.S. Federal Census William Rosewarne, aged 58, born in England, farmer, wife Prudence Rosewarne, aged 56, born in England, and daughter Prudence (22), were staying with William's elder brother John Rosewarn (60), physician in Canandaigua, Ontario, New York, USA.

William married Nanny Vivian, daughter of John Vivian of Trevassick and Elizabeth Rosewarne, on 3 Apr 1815 in Phillack, Cornwall. (Nanny Vivian was born on 28 Mar 1788 in Camborne, Cornwall, christened on 12 May 1788 in Phillack, Cornwall and was buried on 9 Sep 1823 in Gwinear, Cornwall, aged 35 years.)
