With them were children William (22) of England, farm laborer, Mary H. (20) of Wisconsin, Charlie (17) of California, farm laborer, Thomas (16) of California, farm laborer, Vivian (14) of Wisconsin, farm laborer, Joseph (12) of Wisconsin, farm laborer, Elizabeth (11) of Wisconsin, at school. and Alfred (5) of Wisconsin, at school.
In 1880 Charles Harvey, aged 58, born in England, agent for zinc co., and wife Mary Harvey, aged 57, born in England, keeping house, were living in Highland, Iowa, Wisconsin, USA. With them were children (born in Wisconsin) Vivian (24), miner, Joseph (22), miner, Elizabeth (18), at home, Alfred (15), at school, and James (9).
In 1900 Charles Harvey, aged 78 (born Apr 1822) in England, widowed, was in Lancaster, Grant, Wisconsin. With him were daughter Libbie H McCrady (37) of Wisconsin, married, grandson Mac H McCrady (15) of South Dakota.
In 1910 Charles V Harvey, aged 88, born in England, widowed, own income, was in Grant, Dunn, Wisconsin. With him was daughter Libbie McCrady (47) of Wisconsin, widow.

Obituary — Harvey 1
Charles Vivian Harvey, son of Thomas and Phillipa Harvey, born at Cambourm, Cornwall, England, April 14th, 1822. In 1843* he was united in marriage to Mary Kemp. Ten sons and two daughters was the result of this marriage, of which six sons and one daughter are still living, located at the following places: Vivian of Platteville; James of Hudson, Wis.; Wm. H. of Mineral Point, Wis.; Thomas of Dodgeville; Joseph of Lead, S. Dakota; Alfred of Milwaukee; and Mrs. Joseph Arthur, of Mineral Point.
Mr. Harvey came to the United States in 1849 and located at Hazel Green, Wis. His wife followed one year later. He was an expert miner and followed that vocation for twenty years after his arrival in this country.
In 1851 he moved to California where he remained for three years, again returning to Hazel Green. During these several years he was engaged in mining in Montana, Wyoming and Nevada.
In 1874 he was engaged by the Illinois Zinc Co. as agent for the purchase of zinc ore in which position he remained for sixteen years, being located during this period at Benton, Wis.; Joplin, Mo.; Highland, Wis. and Cobb, Wis.
In 1892 he moved to Lancaster, Wis., where he resided until about two years ago, since which time he has made his home with his son, Vivian at Platteville.
His wife died Feb. 21, 1897. There were thirty-two grand-children and ten great-grand-children.
He became a member of the M. E. Church thirty-one years ago and was a devoted christian until his death.
His health was fairly good until about two weeks before his death, which occurred on Friday Oct. 17th. He was buried at Lancaster, Monday Oct. 20th. Services conducted by Rev. John Hardcastle.
Mr. Harvey had reached the advanced age of 91 years. Up to the last he was interested in all the doings of the world and his friends; always ready to give and take a joke. He was careful in his personal appearance and habits, and has lived a good life. His happy, jovial, disposition was an inspiration to those who knew him.
