In 1901 William Henry Cecil Hosking, aged 15, born in St. Ives Cornwall, clothier's apprentice, was with his parents in Higher Trenwith, St. Ives.

In 1921 William Henry Cecil Hosking, aged 35 years 4 months, born in St. Ives, manufacturer's agent, textiles, and wife May Hosking, aged 35 years 10 months, born in Knightsbridge London, were living at 42 Somerset Road, Harrow, Pinner, Middlesex. With them were sons William James Cecil (6y 11m) of Wealdstone Middlesex, Frank Ernest Henry (1y 4m) of Pinner, father-in-law James Elkins (66y 6m) of Sturminster Newton Dorset, butler, and mother-in-law Annie Elizabeth Elkins (62y 3m) of East Witton Yorkshire, home duties.

In the 1939 Register William H C Hosking (b. 10 Feb 1886), manufacturer's representative woollens &c, and wife May Hosking (b. 18 Aug 1885), unpaid domestic duties, were living at 52 Kingsfield Ave, Harrow, Middlesex.
