In 1861 Wm. Pepperell (40) of Slapton, agricultural labourer, and wife Mary (39) of Halwell, were living in Brownston Labourer's cottage, Brixham Devon. Present was son Wm. Hy. (8) of Kingswear.
In 1871 Willm. Pepperell (54) [sic] of Slapton, farm labourer, and wife Mary (49) of Halwell, were living in Brownston cottage, Brixham Devon. Present were children: Harriet Langworthy (22) of Halwell, Wm. Hy. (18) of Kingswear, mason, Philip (9) of Brixham, scholar, mother[-in-law] Mary Langworthy (81) of Blackawton, widow.
In 1881 William Pepperell (60) of Slapton, ag labourer, and wife Mary (60) of Morley, were living at 5 Underwood, Kingswear Devon. Present was son Philip (19) of Brixham, apprentice to mason. Son William Henry was living nextdoor.
