The funeral of Mr. Francis Vincent Jory, aged 73, took place at Gwithian Church on Friday, conducted by Rev. B. de S. Scott, assistant curate. He had been churchwarden at Gwithian for 20 years as well a chorister, and secretary of the local branch of the C.E.M.S.
Mourners were: Mr. Simon Jory (son), Mrs. Leah Box (daughter), Mr. Frank Jory (son), Messrs. G. Nancarrow, G. Cock, J. Phillips and B. Phillips (nephews), R. Evans (grandson), C. Jennings (son-in-law), C. B. Cock, J. Phillips, A. Mannell (brothers-in-law).
Hayle Division of St. John Ambulance Brigade were represented by Messrs. T. L. Petters (also representing Mrs. Turner, Div. Supt., Hayle Nursing Div.), F. Rogers, R. E. Wood (also representing Mr. R. W. Wakeford), and W. Luff.
