In 1851 Charles Rule, aged 2, was with his mother Mary Rule (35) of Pembroke, married, housekeeper, in Hayle, Phillack, Cornwall.
In 1861 Charles Rule, aged 13, born in Hayle, boy, and older brother Henry (17) of Hayle, seaman, were with their father Richard Rule (57) of Camborne Cornwall, master [mariner], aboard the vessel Betsey James.
Charles Rule was not with his wife and family in the censuses hereafter.
