At the 1664 Hearth Tax Jeffery Kempe of Wendron had one hearth, the tax of 2 shillings paid by Elizabeth Pascoe by reason of property. Elizabeth Pascoe would have been Jeffery's mother-in-law who died in the following year.

Jeffery married Christian Pascoe, daughter of Allen Pascoe of Wendron and Elizabeth Harry, on 10 Feb 1656/7 in Wendron, Cornwall. (Christian Pascoe was christened 18 Apr 1633 in Wendron, Cornwall and was buried on 4 Aug 1701 in #Wendron, Cornwall.)
