In 1761 John Hocking was the sole executor of the will of his father Nicholas Hocking of Camborne.

Abstract of the Will of John Hockin of the Parish of Camborne in the County of Cornwall, Weaver, written 3 Jul 1768, proved 11 Jul 1769. 4

Gives to his wife Susanah Hockin his tenement of land called North Trewean in the parish of Crowan. He also gives her $5 and a pair of his best blankets.

Gives to his wife Susanah Hockin the rent charge of £4 that is paid yearly by her son Humphry Harvey.

Gives to each of his grandchildren 5 shillings.

Appoints his daughters Honor Prideaux, Theodosia Hockins and Prudence Beaker co-executrices of his last will and testament.
