In 1861, Lydia Davies (21) of Crowan, was working as a servant for John W. Johns, vicar, in Church Town, Crowan.
In 1871, Lydia Dale (28) of Crowan, and husband Andrew Nicholls Dale (26) of Penzance, carrier's driver, were living in 21 Alverton St., Penzance. Present were son John Henry (5) of Penzance, and four lodgers.
In 1881, Lydia Dale (40) of Crowan and husband Andrew Dale (37) of Penzance, cab proprietor, were liing in 21 Alverton St., Penzance. Present were son John (15) of Penzance, office clerk, and one boarder.
In 1891, Lydia Dale (49) of Crowan and husband Andrew N. Dale (46) of Penzance, coachman cab proprietor, were living in 11 Coulson Buildings, Penzance. Present were son John H. (25), coachman cab proprietor, visitor Ada Tapp (18) of Penzance.
In 1911, Lydia Dale (70) of Crowan, widow, private means, was staying with her son John Henry Dale and his family in 11 Coulson Buildings, Penzance.
