In 1861, Samuel Smith (64) of Camborne, miner, and wife Elizth (61) of St. Neot, were living in Beacon.

Samuel Smith died 1868, aged 72 years, husband of Elizabeth (cemetery record).

15 October: Letters of Administration of the Personal Estate of Samuel Smith late of the Parish of Camborne in the County of Cornwall, miner, deceased, who died 2 May 1868 at Camborne aforesaid, were granted to Elizabeth Smith of Camborne aforesaid, widow, the relict of the said deceased, she having first been sworn.
