  Research Notes:

In 1881 Sarah A Cadwell, aged 24, born in Camborne Cornwall, and husband Charles Cadwell, aged 24, born in Camborne, copper miner, were living at 10 Edward St., Camborne. Present were children (born in Camborne) Charles A (1) and Mabel W (2 mo).

In 1889 Charles Cadwell placed an ad for sale of a general-purpose roan horse, waggonette with covering capable of carrying 10 persons, dogcart and a set of harness, prior to leaving the country.*

* As placed in the West Briton and Cornwall Advertiser, Thursday, 6 Jun 1889, p. 1. In early 1892 a report was received from the Cape that Charles suffered a severe injury in a mining accident and died in hospital in Johannesburg.

In 1901 Sarah Ann Cadwell, aged 40, born in Camborne, widow, was living at 24 Pendarves St., Camborne. With her were children (born in Tuckingmill) Mabel (20), varnisher at fuse factory, Leonard (18), tin miner, Stanley (17), tin miner, Telfer (15), mine blacksmith, and Percy (14).

In 1911 Sarah Ann Cadwell, aged 51, born in Camborne, widow (mother of 7 children, 2 deceased), was living at 64 Pendarves St., Tuckingmill.

THE LATE MRS. SARAH ANN CADWELL

FUNERAL AT TUCKINGMILL

The funeral of Mrs. Sarah Ann Cadwell, who died at Pendarves-street, Tuckingmill, on Monday, at the age of 77 years, took place at Tuckingmill All Saints' Church on Thursday afternoon.

Mrs. Cadwell was the widow of Mr. Charles Cadwell, and a member of the Roskear Church for a number of years, belonging to the Mothers' Union there.

Mrs. Cadwell, who leaves three sons and a daughter, was well-known and highly respected throughout the district.

The Rev. A. Cocking officiated both at the church and at the graveside.

The mourners were: Mrs. M. W. Collins (daughter), Mr. H. S. Collins (grandson), Mrs. Gladys Temby (niece), Mr. T. Dunstan (cousin), Mr. and Mrs. F. Rowe, Mrs. Williams, Messrs. Oats, Rowatt and Barnard (friends)....
