"Taylor S. Remphrey, 85, Milton Daily Item
MILTON Taylor S. Remphrey, 85, of Golf Course Road, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 4, 2010.
He was born Sept. 10, 1924, in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Fred W. and Elsie (Taylor) Remphrey. He was married to the former Vera Arndt who survives.
Taylor was raised at the Odd Fellows home in Sunbury and attended Sunbury High School. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps as a mechanic.
In the 50s he worked building the PP&L station in Sunbury and retired as route sales supervisor from R.U. Troutman and Sons, Sunbury. After his retirement he worked at Fairview Country Store, Milton.
Taylor was a member of the United Lutheran Church, Sunbury and was a mason. He sang with the West Branch Chorus and barbershop quartet in Lewisburg.
He enjoyed bowling and gardening.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Jay P. Remphrey, of Selinsgrove; one daughter, Janice E. Remphrey-Penton, of Orlando, Fla.; one stepson, Veris Boyer, of Milton; two stepdaughters, Debra A Baker and Jean L. Geist, both of Milton; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Charles, and one sister, Katherine Bower...." 3
