Esther Bloedorn of Wilmington, NC entered Eternal Life on December 5, 2008.
Born in Milwaukee, WI on June 19, 1915, she was the eldest daughter of Catherine (Wilkins) and Harvey Trevillian.
Esther was ever an optimist, and always wore a smile and a twinkle in her eyes. She liked cooking and hostessing, sewing and needlepoint, reading and watching mysteries, listening to the Guy Lombardo Orchestra; and, she made fabulous Christmas cookies. In 1936, she married Edward J. Bloedorn, the love of her life. They moved to Wauwatosa, WI shortly thereafter, where she resided until 2003. In 1962, she helped open the first Kohls Department Store, and contributed in making Kohls a nationwide success. Upon her son's 2003 retirement, she accompanied him to Wilmington, NC.
She was predeceased by husband Edward, brother Harvey, and sister Winifred. She is survived by her much loved son Phil, and her devoted four legged companion Greta. She is further survived by a host of caring and loving friends and relatives. Relatives include sisters Beverly Bassett (Madison, WI), Lynn Teschan (Sun Prairie, WI), Lois Maslowski (Cedarburg, WI), Gayle (Bob) Schwibinger (Kiowa, TX), and Harvada (John) Elisberg (Appleton, WI). Additionally, she leaves behind two special and loved relatives, cousin Mary Trevillian (Milwaukee, WI) and niece Noreine Sobie (Leesburg, FL)...." 1
