"Michael W. Day, 63, of Janesville, died December 18, 2009, at home. He was born on March 17, 1946, in Janesville, the son of Wayne and Eunice (Foster) Day. He married Rita Kay Cole on Nov. 13, 1965, at the St. Peters Lutheran Church, in Janesville. She preceded him in death on June 3, 2003. Michael served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1966 to 1968. He retired from General Motors in 1995 after 30 years of service. Michael was a member of the UAW #95 and the Moose Club. He enjoyed horseback riding, motorcycles and corvettes. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Day of Janesville; a special friend, Marisa Terpstra of Janesville; a sister, Barbara (William) Koch of Janesville; a brother, Terry (Janice) Day of Tucson, AZ; a sister-in-law, Doris Stuhr of Janesville; three brothers-in-law: Ray (Norma) Bushaw, Thomas (Evalee) Bushaw and Jack Courtney, all of Janesville; many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rita; mother and father-in-law, Stanley and Julia (Courtney) Cole; and two brothers-in-law, Dean and Bob." 1
