Leonard L. Buss, 88, formerly of South Sherman Street, Wilkes-Barre, died
Sunday in the Inpatient Unit of Hospice Community Care at the Mercy Hospital,
Wilkes-BarreBorn in Wilkes-Barre, May 10, 1909, he was the son of the late Frederick and Louise Lentz Buss.
He graduated from Coughlin High School in 1927.
Before retiring in 1976, he was formerly employed as a fire fighter for the Wilkes-Barre City Fire Department.
He was also self-employed as a house painter.
He was a member of Puritan Congregational Church, Wilkes-Barre.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Marian Bray, in 1992; brothers Edwin, Elmer, and Albert Buss.
Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Richard (Lois) Gdovin, Shavertown; sons Fred Buss, Wilkes-Barre; William Buss, Silver Spring, Md.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews...." 2
