Betty J. Brubaker, 73, of New Columbus, died Thursday at the Bonham Nursing
Center, Stillwater, where she had been a patient since Tuesday. Born in Huntington Township, she was daughter of the late Ralph and Helen Musselman Cotterman.
She resided in New Columbus for the past 24 years and prior to that in Huntington Mills, for seven years, and Mountville.
Before retiring, she was employed by the former Luzerne Outerwear, Shickshinny, for 21 years.
She was a member of the Town Hill United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Remphrey, in 1964; her second husband, Ralph M. Brubaker, in 1985; a son, David A. Remphrey, in 1995; brothers Graydon R. Cotterman, in 1979; and Robert J. Cotterman Sr., in 1985.
Surviving are sons Harold Remphrey Jr., Milton; Larry E. Remphrey, Berwick; John W. Remphrey, at home; Gerald L. Remphrey, Shickshinny; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters Ila Chapin, Town Hill, Shickshinny; Dorothy Malopolski, New Columbus...." 1
