In 1861 Thomas Lanyon, aged 22, born in Truro Cornwall, ag. lab., and wife Lavinia Lanyon, aged 23, born in Helston Cornwall, were living in 2 Gwealmyo, Wendron Cornwall. With them was son Charles H. Lanyon (3m) of Wendron.

In 1881 Thomas Lanyon, aged 40, born in Helston [sic], general labourer, and wife Lavina Lanyon, aged 44, born in Helston, were living in Wendron St., Helston. Present were children (born in Helston): Charles (19), road labourer, Fanny (16), William (13), stone breaker, Emmeline (9), scholar, Sydney (7), scholar, Clara (5), scholar, Thomas (3), scholar
