"Margaret James, 85, went peacefully to heaven on Nov. 27, 2010.
Margaret Frieda (Aschliman) James was born on April 22, 1925, the oldest daughter of Ernest and Frieda(Huber) Aschliman. She married Henry Van James on June 25, 1947. Margaret and Henry farmed together in Willow Springs Township until Henry's death in November 1993.
Margaret was a wonderful, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Margaret was a 4-H leader for many years while her children were involved in the 4-Ways 4-H Club. She was involved in the Willow Springs and Waldwick Methodist churches as a Sunday School teacher and member of the ladies aide. Margaret was a member of the Willow Springs and Share and Care Homemakers organization.
She is survived by her four children: Gary (Weslyn) James, Ed (Char) James, Sharon (Joe) Hayden, Susan (Cynthia Henning) James. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Margaret is survived by her brothers: Ernie (Joyce) Aschliman, Fritz (Wanda) Aschliman; sisters: Rosemarie Mohlmann, Helen (Tom) Kline, Mary Lou (Lee) Oxnem; brothers-in-law: Homer James, Orville (Gretchen) James; and sisters-in-law Grace Rolli and Martha (Maurice) McLean. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Frieda; husband Henry; sister Lillian Ley; brothers Paul and Charles; brother-in-law Charles Rolli; and sister-in-law Irene James...." 3
