" MRS. D. H. CLAXTON.
Mrs. Daphne Haussen Claxton, who died at a private hospital at Toorak, lived for a number of years at Cadell, where her husband was engaged in fruitgrowing. She was always interested in the welfare of the soldier settlement on the river. Floral tributes were sent to the graveside from the principal public bodies of Cadell. Mrs. Claxton was the third daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Ware, of Adelaide and Queensland, and the granddaughter of the late Mr. H. H. Haussen, owner of the Hindmarsh Brewery. Mrs. Claxton's father and mother occupied the position of Mayor and Mayoress of Adelaide for three years in succession. A widower, one baby son, two brothers, and three sisters survive her." 5
