Research Notes:
The Chronicæ Polanorum names "Bolezlavum" as son of King Wladyslaw and his wife "filiam Wratislavi Bohemici regis". The Annales Capituli Cracoviensis record the birth in 1086 of "Bolezlaus tertius" followed immediately by the death of "Iudith mater sua".
He succeeded his father in 1102 as BOLESLAW III "Krzywousty/Wrymouth" Prince of Poland. The Annales Cracovienses Compilati record that "Boleslaus duos Pomeranos duces devicit aput Nakel. Iste tercius Boleslaus terras obtinuit". Duke of Pomerania 1122-1138. Before his death Boleslaw III arranged a division of his lands among his sons.
The Annales Capituli Cracoviensis record the death "1138 V Kal Nov" of "dux Bolezlaus tercius". 1
Marriage Information:
Boleslaw married Zbyslawa Svyatopolkovna RURIK, Princess of Kiev, daughter of Svyatopolk II Mikhail Izyaslavovich RURIK, Great Prince of Kiev, between 16 Nov 1102 and early 1103. (Zbyslawa Svyatopolkovna RURIK was born in Kiev, Ukraine and died in between 1109 and 1112.)
Marriage Information:
Boleslaw also married Salome VON BERG, daughter of Graf Heinrich VON BERG and Adelheid von Mochental, between Mar 1115 and Jul 1115. (Salome VON BERG was born before 1101 in Schelklingen, Donaukreis, Württemberg and died on 27 Jul 1144.)
