Obituary...
"Leroy A. Merce, age 76 of Kimbolton, died Wed., December 13, 2006, at his home. He was a son of the late Russell Merce and Crystal J. (Patterson) Merce. He was a member of the Bird's Run Community Church in Kimbolton.
Mr. Merce retired in 1978 as a groundskeeper from Cambridge City Schools after suffering a stroke. He was in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1955, a member of the Senior Citizen Center, the Bird's Run Grange, and the Guernsey County Pomona Grange.
Surviving are: his wife, Shirley A. (Mason) Johnson Merce of the home; 1 daughter, Janet Ely of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; 3 step-daughters, Cathy (Joe) Leroux of Norwalk, Ohio; Linda (Charles) Camp of Bryan, Texas; Sherry (Dale) Carver of Westerville, Ohio; 1 son, Rodney (Christy) Merce of Kimbolton, Ohio; 2 step-sons, Ronald (Laurie) Johnson of Mississippi; Don Johnson of Cambridge, Ohio; 1 sister, Ann (Bruce) Rogan of Tennessee; 2 sister-in-laws, Judy Hartwig of Georgia; Louanna (Dale) Rogers of Cambridge, Ohio; 4 brothers, Ira (Jane) Merce of Florida; Bill (Betty Lou) Merce of Maryland; Donald (Carol) Merce of Florida; and Richard (Elaine) Merce of Norfolk, Virginia; 1 brother-in-law, Rollin (Lucille) Lawrence of Illinoise; 13 grandchildren, Jason, Keith and Brian Merce, Steffani (Tim) Jamison, Joey Leroux, Jennifer Hawkins, Carrie (L.C.)
