"Mr. E. H. Maddern

Mr. Edwin Harris Maddern, who died recently at Auburn, was bom in that town, the second son of the late Mr. W. E. Maddern. He followed commerical pursuits for some years, and later became clerk of the Upper Wakefield District Council, a position which he held for 10½ years until he resigned two years ago, owing to ill health. He was a staunch supporter of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Maddern and one daughter, Miss Edna Maddern, survive." ⁵
