"Her family moved to Albany, WI where she attended Pebble School with her brothers, Merrill, Paul and Bill and a sister, Mae. The family relocated to Madison, WI where Ellen graduated from West High School and attended the University of Wisconsin, in Madison, becoming a medical technician. She met Howard LeRoy Correll, M.D. on a blind date. They married in 1940, following Howard's tour of duty in WW II, and they settled in Milwaukee, WI. Their four children were raised there. John Howard, J.D. (Kathleen) of McFarland, WI., Dr. Paul Jeffery (Anne Marie) of Cross Plains, WI, Dr. Timothy Alexander (Tom Jacobson), who practices at the Memorial Hospital of Iowa County in Dodgeville, his main office being in Mineral Point, WI, and Rebecca Cryer of Mineral Point, WI. Grandchildren are: Camilla and Nicholas Correll; Kevin, Alex and Hannah Correll and Matthew, Sarah and Bryony Cryer. She spent her time between her home in Milwaukee and the family farm at Arena, WI before settling in Mineral Point, her family's original home. A celebration of her life will be held at Folklore Village, Dodgeville, Wi on June 6, 2004" 2
