The Genealogiæ Scriptoris Fusniacensis names "Nicholaum" as the son of "Nicholaum [filium Condefrido de Ruminiaco]".

Seigneur de Rumigny. He founded Bonnefontaine in 1152. A charter dated 1153 confirmed the foundation of Bonnefontaine by "Nicolaus de Rumigniaco", with the consent of "filio suo Godefrido quem de prima uxore suscepit, et uxore eius Aelide, cum filiis suis Balduino archidiacono et Nicolao". 2

Nicholas also married Aleidis de Hainaut, daughter of Baudouin II, comte de de Hainaut et de Valenciennes and Ida de Louvain, about 1115. (Aleidis de Hainaut was born before 1098 in Hainault, Belgium and died on 7 April, in 1153 or after.)
