From 1822 to 1832 William was employed by the Copperhouse Foundry at Hayle as an Agent. 2
In 1834, William worked for an Iron Foundry. 2
In 1851 W Vivian, aged 54, iron & brass founder, born in Warwickshire, and wife Jane Vivian, aged 54, born in Camborne Cornwall, were living in Tucking Mill, Camborne. With them were children Jno. (21) of Phillack, mine clerk, Joseph (19) of Phillack, assayer, Andrew (16) of Illogan, foundry clerk, Eliz: Jane (14) of Camborne, scholar, visitor Edwd Vivian (51?) of South Wales, unmarried, annuitant, and granddaughter Jane Vivian (6) of St. Agnes, scholar.
William was not with his family at the 1861 Census.
