Katherine is recorded in the Visitation as well as in the marriage record as having been the daughter of William Isham of Isle Brewers in Somerset. Her father William was undoubtedly related to the William Isham of Isle Brewers who married as his first wife the widow Margery Bray (née Borlase). Margery was previously married to Henry Bray, father of Katherine's husband.
