"Heinricus…Romanorum imperator augustus" donated property "in pago [blank] et in comitatu Arnoldi" to the bishopric of Bamberg by charter dated 28 Apr 1017. "Chunigundæ imperatricis augustæ" donated property to the church of Freising by charter dated 1025, witnessed by "…Arnolt comes…".

Married firstly Adelheid, daughter of ---. Wegener refers to a letter of Gozpert abbot of Tegernsee which names Adelheid as wife of Graf Arnold, specifying that she was "neptis" of the abbot.
Married secondly Irmgard, daughter of ---. The Chronicon Benedictoburanum lists (in order) "…Arnoldus huius loci defensor, Irminkardis comitissa…", which suggests that the latter may have been the wife of the former. 1
