In 1841, Elizabeth Provis, aged about 40, and husband Francis Provis, copper miner, aged about 45, were living in Treswithian Downs, Camborne. Present were children: Francis (15), copper miner, Mary (14), Alexander (11), ag. lab., James (10), Jane (6), John (2)

In 1851, Elizabeth Probis (53) of Camborne and husband Francis Probis (62) of Camborne, copper miner, were living in Treswithian Downs, Camborne. Present were children (born in Camborne): Francis (25), copper miner, Mary (23), copper mine labourer, Alexander (21), copper mine labourer, James (18), copper mine labourer, Jane (14), copper mine labourer, John (12), copper mine labourer

In 1861, Elizabeth H. Provis (66) of Camborne, widow, miner's wife, was living in Treswithian Downs. Present were children: Mary C. Provis (33), widow*, dressmaker, James (27), miner, Jane (24), mine girl, John (22), miner

* The "C" stands for Curnow.

In 1871, Elizabeth Provis (74) of Camborne, widow, housekeeper, was living in Camborne. Present was daughter Jane Roberts (34), widow, working to mine.

Elizabeth Provis died aged 83 years (GROE Death Index, vol. 5c, p. 183).

   Marriage Information:

Elizabeth married Francis PROVIS of Treswithian Downs, son of Alexander PROVIS and Margery TELLAM, on 3 Jan 1825 in Camborne, Cornwall. (Francis PROVIS of Treswithian Downs was born in 1788 in Camborne, Cornwall, christened on 9 Nov 1788 in Camborne, Cornwall and died between Jan 1856 and Mar 1856 in Camborne, Cornwall.)
