CASHMERE _ Arthur J. Greig, 84, a 53-year resident of the Cashmere area, died Sunday, Aug. 16, 1992, in the Cashmere Convalescent Center.

He was born on Oct. 9, 1907, to George J. and Bertha M. (Kimmel) Greig at Bladen, Neb., where he was raised. He graduated from Bladen High School.

He married Iona Deney on April 6, 1929, at Chariton, Iowa, where they lived. They moved to the Cashmere area in 1939. Mr. Greig worked in fruit orchards. He later worked in maintenance for many years at Schmitten Lumber Co.

Survivors include his wife, at home; two sons, Arthur Greig of Cashmere and George Greig of Fremont, Calif.; a brother, Ivan Greig of Seattle; a sister, Lela Faling of Curtis, Neb.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother."
