In 1861 John Elliot Pepperell (39) of Slapton, cordwainer, and wife Ann (35) of Stokefleming, were living in Slapton Village, Slapton. Present were sons (born in Slapton): John Elliot (10), Albert (8), Edwin Thos. (4).
