The Genealogiæ Scriptoris Fusniacensis names "Nicholaum" as the son of "Condefrido de Ruminiaco" & his wife Hedwige. The dating clause of a charter dated 1070, which records a donation made to Rumigny, records “...abbate Godefrido eiusdem loci, uxore eius Haduit...”, witnessed by “Godefridus advocatus, Nicolaus eius filius, Arnulfus frater eius...”. The name of Nicolas's wife is not known.
