  • Christened: 21 Jul 1833, Camborne, Cornwall

   Research Notes:

In 1871, Grace Bate (33) of Camborne, draper's assistant, was living with her sister Elizabeth Bate in Chapel St., Camborne.

In the 1881 and 1901 Censuses, Grace understates her age. There was no Grace Bate born 1839/40 born in Camborne, daughter of Richard Bate, farmer, in the 1841, 1851, 1861 and 1871 Censuses, even allowing for orthographic variations.

In 1881, Grace Terrill (41) [sic] of Cornwall and husband Francis Terrill (49) of Cornwall, foreman at waterworks, were living in Boultham, Lincolnshire, England. Present was Francis' mother Ann (74) of Cornwall.

In 1901, Grace Terrill (62) of Camborne Cornwall, and husband Francis Terrill (69) of Kenwyn Cornwall, were living in Boultham Lincolnshire.
