In 1891, Stephen Johns (40) of Camborne, mine engine driver, and wife Caroline (41) of Cumberland, were living in Beacon, Camborne. Present were children (born in Camborne): Eliza E. (17), draper's assistant, Joseph E. (13), scholar, Arthur (10), scholar, mother Margaret Johns (70) of Camborne, widow.

Stephen married Caroline LATHLEAN, daughter of Joseph LETHLEAN and Mary DUNN, between Apr 1872 and Jun 1872 in Redruth District, Cornwall. (Caroline LATHLEAN was born between Jan 1844 and Mar 1844 in Cockermouth district, Cumberland, England.)
