Nicholas CRIMP of South Huish
- Christened: 16 Mar 1740, Charleton, Devon, England 2
- Married: 9 Aug 1761, Aveton Gifford, Devon, England 1
- Buried: 7 Sep 1817, West Alvington, Devon, England 3
A number of secondary sources show Nicholas Crimp (who married Sarah Elliot) born in Woodleigh Devon in Jul 1735 to William Crimp & Margaret Phillips. However, Nicholas Crimp died in 1817 and his age at that time (78) indicates he was born c.1739, such that the Nicholas Crimp christened in early 1740 (son of Roger Crimp and Margaret Lakeman) seems more likely to have been the Nicholas Crimp who married Sarah Elliot.
Nicholas Crimp of Hope in South Huish died aged 78 years (burial record).
Nicholas married Sarah ELLIOT on 9 Aug 1761 in Aveton Gifford, Devon, England 1. (Sarah ELLIOT was born about 1739 and was buried on 22 Feb 1818 in West Alvington, Devon, England 4.)
Banns of marriage between Nicholas Crimp and Sarah Elliot, both of the Parish of Aveton Gifford were Published in the Parish Church aforesaid on the twenty Eighth day of June and the fifth and Twelvth Days of July, in the year, one Thousand Seven Hundred, and Sixty one...
