Note: A Mary Jane Richards, daughter of William Richards, married John Ferguson on 28 Sep 1867 in Baptist Chapel, Flinders St., Adelaide, S.A., Australia. Her age given in the index is 20 years (b.c. 1847), such that this would appear to be her. However, when Mary Jane died on 30 Oct 1907 in Norwood, Adelaide, both the South Australia Death Index and Newspaper death notices state that Mary Jane Ferguson died aged 55 years (b.c. 1852). There were two Mary Jane Richards born in Adelaide in 1853, both daughters, however, of John Richards'. What to make of this, especially given the fact that there is no death record for this Mary Jane Richards..
