In 1851, Samuel Buckpitt (62) of Slapton, farmer of 196 acres employing 3 labourers, and and wife Jane (59) of Blackawton, were living on Coombe Farm, Stokefleming. Present were daughter Betsey Buckpitt (33) of Stokefleming, married, house servant, son-in-law William Buckpitt (37) of Ashprington, farm servant, granddaughter Rosena Mary Jane Buckpitt (10) of Churstonferris. Samuel' son John and his family were living nextdoor.
In 1861, Samuel Buckpitt (72) of Slapton, farmer of 84 acres, and [2nd] wife Agnes (51) of Brixham, were living in Lower Fuse, Blackawton. Present was grandson John Henry Buckpitt (22) of Stokefleming, and visitor Agness Heydon (10) of Brixham.
In 1871, Samuel Buckpitt (83) of Brixham*, retired farmer, and wife Agness (61) of Slapton*, were living in Street Village, Blackawton.
