At the time of the 1891 Scotland Census Robert Barclay, aged 37, born in Tarbolton Ayrshire, letter stamper G.P.C., and wife Margaret, aged 35, born in Sorn, were living at 40 Content St., Ayr, Ayrshire. With them was daughter Bessie B. (7) of St. Quivox.
