The Will of John Lloyd of Dinas, Yeoman, written 30 Sep 1780, proved 12 Nov 1781.

In the name of God amen I John Lloyd of Dinas in the parish of Llanfair in the County of Merioneth Yeoman being Sick in Body of Sound mind memory and Understand (blessed be to God of the same) Do make and Ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)
First I Give and Bequeath unto my Beloved Wife Jane Humphrey the Interest of one Hundred and forty pounds during the term of her natural life and I do appoint my Son Edward Lloyd and Edward Lloyd of Cwmbychan to be Trustees for my said wife Jane Humphrey, and that after my Decease I do hereby Order the said Edward Lloyd my Son and Edward Lloyd of Cwmbychan aforesaid to raise the said Sum of one Hundred and forty pounds to put the said Sum upon Interest. And it is ordered that both the said Edward Lloyd my son and Edward Lloyd of Cwmbychan to pay the said Interest into the hands of my said wife Jane Humphrey every year during her life

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Dorothy Lloyd the Sum of Twenty pounds of like lawful money

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth Lloyd the Sum of Thirty pounds of like lawful money

Item: I give and Bequeath unto my said wife Jane Humphrey two Beds and Bed Cloaths, on[e] Press Cuboard one Dresser one little Table on Smal Cuboard and What linen She pleases to take

All the rest and residue of my personal Estate I give and Bequeath unto my son John Lloyd Whom I do hereby nominate and appoint Sole Executor of this my last will and Testament makeing Void all former will or wills by me made. In Witness whereof I have Set my hand and Seal the 30th day of September in the year of our Lord 1780.

On the 12th day of November 1781 This Will was insinuated proved approved and in Common Form of Law decreed Valid. Admon of all and Singular the Goods &c of the Testator was granted to John Lloyd Executor above named (He being first Sworn as the Laws directs Saving &c.)
