In 1891, Wm. John Clifton (39) of Camborne, sewing machine agent, and wife Elizabeth (35) of Camborne, were living in 9 Cross St., Camborne. Present were children (born in Camborne): Joseph Hy. (14), hair dresser, Eda Grace (2), Beatrice Amelia (7m), brother-in-law John Trythall (24) of Camborne, labourer, lodger John Thomas (21) of St. Just, sewing machine agent.

In 1901, William (49) of Camborne, sewing machine agent, was living in Trelowarren St., Camborne, Cornwall. Present were wife Elizabeth (44) of Camborne, children (all born in Camborne): Joseph H. (24), hair dresser, Hilda G. (11), Beatrice A. (10)
