"Root—Polley

The Church of England, Parkes, was the scene of a quiet but pretty wedding on Saturday last, December 27, at 4 p.m., when Rubie Leone Polley was joined m the bonds of holy matrimony to Arthur Albert Ross Root.

The Rev. K. D. Norman offlciated at the ceremony.

The charming bride entered the Church to the strains of the "Wedding March" on the arm of Mr. W. Rutter, of Molong, friend of the bride, who subsequently gave her away. The bride looked very sweet in a delphinion blue crepe suit featuring a scolloped bodice and beading. She wore a small blue flowered hat and navy accessories and carried a bouquet of pink carnations, rosebuds and Gerbias.

Mrs. Scott-Irving (sister of the bridegroom) was matron of honor, and wore a torquoise blue frock made on princess lines, featuring scallops and rouleau scrolls at neckline and waist. She wore a small brown flowered hat and brown accessories and carried a bouquet of pink hydranga and dahlias.

Mr. J. Root (brother of the bridegroom) capably carried out the duties of best man.

During the signing of the register, Miss Kathleen Ross beautifully rendered "For You Alone," accompanied at the organ by Mrs. L. L. Miller...." ⁴
