Agatha DU HOMMET

  • Born: Le Hommet, St. Lo, Normandy, France
  • Married (1):
  • Married (2): After Jun 1187

  Research Notes:

Her first marriage and parentage are confirmed by the Chronicon Savigniacensis Monasterii which records the death "XVIII Kal Jul" in 1212 of "Gaufridus dominus Filgeriarum, filius Willelmi et Agathæ, filiæ Willelmi de Humeto". The primary source which confirms that Richard was her father has not yet been identified, but from a chronological point of view this appears likely to be correct. Her second marriage is indicated by the charter dated Mar [1230/31] under which “Fulco Paganelli” gave security to Louis IX King of France on behalf of “Radulpho de Filgeriis nepoti meo” relating to “terram suam in Normannia”. 1

  Marriage Information:

Agatha married Seigneur Guillaume DE FOUGÈRES, son of Seigneur Raoul II DE FOUGÈRES and Mathilde. (Guillaume DE FOUGÈRES was born in Fougères, Ille-et-Vilaine, Bretagne, France and died on 7 Jun 1187.)

  Marriage Information:

Agatha also married Fulk II PAYNEL, son of Fulk I PAYNEL of Hambye and Lesceline DE SUBLIGNY, after Jun 1187. (Fulk II PAYNEL died after 25 Jun 1215.)
