In 1861 James Burrill (43) of Walcot Dales, farmer of 110 acres employing 1 man & 2 boys, and wife Elizabeth (30) of Gosberton, were living on Westhorpe Way Gosberton. Present were son Edward (3) of Gosberton, mother Ann Burrill (73) of Sibsey, widow.

In 1871 James M. Burrill (53) of Walcot Dales, farmer of 110 acres employing 3 men and 1 boy, and [3rd] wife Sarah (39) of Auborne, were living on Westhorpe Rd., Gosberton. Present were children (born in Gosberton): Charles R. (16), farmer's son, Edward N. (13), scholar, Harry (10), scholar, William (2), brother Thomas J.
