Diary of William Thomas of Michaelston:-

17 June 1763

Also John Richard, Blacksmith, went with Elinor, wife of John Norman, before Parson Wells.......... She said that she would ruinnate him for running her cow through with a pike.

November 1788

Was lately buried at St.Andrews from Aberdda, where they keeps a farm these years past, Elinor wife of John Norman, late of Dinas Powis, of about 56 years of age from the West by birth.
