Will of Alfred Edward Barnes, Late of Mosman, Solicitor, written 15 Aug 1900, probate 20 Feb 1942
"THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me ALFRED EDWARD BARNES of Sydney in the Colony of New South Wales, Solicitor, hereby revoking all former Wills made by me and I APPOINT my Wife JANE BARNES sole Executrix of this my Will I GIVE DEVISE AND BEQUEATH (After payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary Expenses) to my said Wife absolutely ALL my real and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever situate including inter alia one hundred and fifty acres of Conditionally purchased land in the County of Harden Parish of Demondrille and standing in my name in the books of the Department of Lands also my Life Policy for Two hundred and fifty pounds in the Australian Mutual Provident Society Cash in the Banks Household furniture Plate and effects and Library of Law Books. — DATED at Sydney this Fifteenth day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand nine hundred.
