"THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me ALFRED EDWARD BARNES of Sydney in the Colony of New South Wales, Solicitor, hereby revoking all former Wills made by me and I APPOINT my Wife JANE BARNES sole Executrix of this my Will I GIVE DEVISE AND BEQUEATH (After payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary Expenses) to my said Wife absolutely ALL my real and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever situate including inter alia one hundred and fifty acres of Conditionally purchased land in the County of Harden Parish of Demondrille and standing in my name in the books of the Department of Lands also my Life Policy for Two hundred and fifty pounds in the Australian Mutual Provident Society Cash in the Banks Household furniture Plate and effects and Library of Law Books. — DATED at Sydney this Fifteenth day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand nine hundred. A .E. Barnes.
SIGNED by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us both present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses; — RALPH L. HOUSTON Solr., Sydney, F. T. DRAPER Clerk to Messrs Houston & Barnes Solicitors Sydney.
20th February 1942 — On this date Probate of the last Will and Testament of the abovenamed deceased was granted to JANE BARNES the Executrix named in the said Will (subject to usual enemy conditions). TESTATOR died on the 5th day of SEPTEMBER 1941 — ESTATE sworn at the value of £1961.19. 7 nett." 9
