2 The early Registers for the Parish of Trawsfynydd are generally in poor condition. Of the children of John Evan's first marriage, the following have been found: Margaret and Elizabeth, born in 1725 andd 1727/8 respectively, followed by Anne who died young: Anna filia Johannis Evan et Margarettæ ux: ejus de Frith y Bryn Coch, bapt. 5 Jan 1730/1 and buried there on 23 Aug 1731. We know from the Will of John's father, written in 1719, that John had already had three young children, none of whom appear to have survived.
