The Will of Evan ap William Owen of Llanddwywe, yeoman, written 18 Feb 1718/9, inventory taken 12 Sep 1719, proved 25 Oct 1720. 1

In the name of God Amen the Eighteenth day of February 1718/9 I Evan ap William Owen of the parish of Llanddwywe in the Diocese of Bangor (being sicke in body but of sound & perfect memory Praised be God for the same) Doe make this my last Will & Testament as followeth

First I comend my Soule to God who gave it me hoping by & through the meritts of my blessed Saviour Christ Jesus to have Remission of my Sins & to participate of Everlasting glory And my body to be buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named

And touching my Temporall Estate I give & bequeath to my son William sixty pounds

Item I give & bequeath to my son Richard sixty pounds

Item I give & bequeath to my grandson William Jones four pounds

Item I give & bequeath to my grandson . . . . . . . Jones four pounds [hole in paper]

Item I give & bequeath to my grand[daughter] Catherine Jones four pounds

Item I give & bequeath to the poor of the parish of Trawsfynydd Two pounds to be distributed among them by the discretion of . . . . . . . . . . . [several holes in paper] first Christmas . . . . . . shall happen after my death

And of this my last Will & Testament I Constitute and appoint my Son John Executor to whom I give & bequeath all the rest of my personal Estate whatsoever hereby Revoking all former Wills by me made and declaring this to be my last Will and Testament.
