"TOWN CLERK COLLAPSES AND DIES
Mr. Archibald James Poignand, aged 43 years, town clerk at Yass, collapsed and died at his parents' home, Cowra, last Friday. Mr. Poignand was a native of Cowra. He was educated at Newington and received appointment as assistant town clerk at Cowra. When he passed his final examination he accepted the position of shire clerk at Rylstone. Mr. Poignand was at Rylstone for one year when he was appointed town clerk at Yass, a post he held for 20 years." 5
